Wendy has over 20 years’ experience in civil litigation in New Zealand with a main focus on construction, insolvency and debt recovery and security enforcement.
Wendy started her career as a legal secretary, completing her studies and developing her skills in litigation as a Legal Executive. She has been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor.
Wendy is also a trained commercial mediator having completed training at Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, USA and the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand (AMINZ). Wendy is also an Associate Member of AMINZ. This training complements the skills she already has in negotiation and dispute resolution.
Wendy is a natural problem solver and uses her calming demeanour and down to earth communication style which assists many of her parties to reach resolution. Wendy’s greatest passion is to assist others to navigate conflict so they can get on with running their businesses and enjoying life.
Wendy began her mediation training to help her clients through the unpleasant experience of managing litigation. She believes mediation is a way to resolve disputes which enables and empowers the parties to negotiate and resolve the dispute promptly, cost effectively, and confidentially rather than have a decision imposed upon them by a judge or arbitrator.
Norling Law offers an independent and impartial mediation service to further enhance its problem-solving approach to solving legal issues.
