Dispute resolution institute also names two new council members
The Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand (AMINZ) has made leadership appointments.
Royden Hindle has been elected president, joined by Nicola Hartfield as vice president. The Hon Paul Heath QC and Ngarongo Ormsby have also joined the AMINZ council.
Hindle, a member of Bankside Chambers in Auckland, is an experience arbitrator, commercial mediator, construction adjudicator, facilitator, and occasional advocate. He was a litigation partner at Simpson Grierson and moved to the independent bar in 1996.
He has been an AMINZ council member since 2012 and was most recently the organisation’s vice president.
Hartfield is an internationally recognised mediator, with a specialty practice in family dispute resolution. She has social work experience in New Zealand and the UK and also provides workplace coaching and supervision.
Other members of the AMINZ council are Sophie East, Mark Kelly, and Nicole Smith.
