Claro has promoted Catherine Deans to senior associate.
Deans, who joined Claro in 2015, has a strong interest in the intersection of law and medicine. She holds law and psychology degrees from University of Otago. The former senior solicitor earned an LLM from the University of Toronto.
She began her legal career as a solicitor at Chapman Tripp and has also worked at a human rights law firm in New Delhi, India.
Claro has also appointed Patrick Wynne as solicitor in Christchurch. Admitted to the Bar in September, he began his legal career as a law clerk at Cavell Leitch. He earned his commerce and law degrees from University of Otago.
The firm promoted three lawyers to special counsel in May.
