Duncan Cotterill has expanded its IP team with a fresh recruit who brings more than two decades’ experience to the firm.

Sarah Chapman, who’s based in Auckland, has moved to the firm from Simpson Grierson. With experience both in New Zealand and overseas, the associate is an expert in brand and marketing law. She works with clients in the selection, protection, and commercialisation of IP, both in the country and beyond.

Duncan Cotterill says that the appointment strengthens what is now one of the leading soft IP practices in New Zealand.

“She’s exactly the kind of person you want to work with – a real talent and a pleasure to work with,” partner Scott Moran said.

In May, Duncan Cotterill welcomed two new partners in Wellington. In March, a world-renowned insurance law specialist joined the firm.
