Four senior lawyers have joined the Russell McVeagh partnership.
The top-tier firm said that the promotions recognise the relationship and management skills, as well as the expertise of the lawyers, who join the leadership ranks of the firm.

They are role models for the profession and add wide-ranging experience, which strengthens our ability to provide clients with the confidence to achieve their strategic goals,” said Malcolm Crotty, Russell McVeagh board chair.
The firm has also announced that it is expecting to welcome a fifth new partner this month, after the senior lawyer meets New Zealand Law Society requirements.

AUCKLAND
Liz Blythe – Technology
Blythe joined the firm last year as a special counsel after moving from New York-based firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy’s London office. She specialises in technology, particularly compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the sector. She has acted for some of the world’s largest technology suppliers and consumers, including financial institutions and banks, on major technology transactions.
Anna Crosbie – Property and construction
A specialist in all aspects of property and construction law, Crosbie was promoted from senior associate. She moved back to the firm in 2015 after more than two years as legal counsel at Todd Property Group. She regularly acts for institutional property investors and developers, and has particular expertise in high-value acquisition and divestment transactions, inbound overseas investment, retail and commercial leasing, hotel management and master-planned residential development, Russell McVeagh said.
WELLINGTON
Emmeline Rushbrook - Litigation and dispute resolution, and public, regulatory and competition
Rushbrook is another internationally experienced senior lawyer joining the Russell McVeagh partnership. She moved back to the firm in 2014 after nine years at the London office of Clifford Chance, where she rose to senior associate. She specialises in commercial and financial dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and enforcement, and public and administrative law. She has extensive experience on regulatory investigations, internal investigations, and public inquiries. She also advises on compliance with New Zealand consumer, financial services, and insurance law.
Nathaniel Walker – Litigation and dispute resolution
A commercial litigation and dispute-resolution specialist, Walker has particular expertise in in trusts and equity, cross-border disputes, consumer law, and financial services litigation. He also added to the firm international experience when he joined in 2017 from elite Wall Street firm Cravath Swaine & Moore, where he acted on complex high-value securities matters. While in New York, he earned his LLM at Columbia University.
