Holland Beckett Law has welcomed aboard a senior lawyer, according to the New Zealand Law Society.

The Bay of Plenty firm has appointed Terry Kirkham as special counsel. He moved to the firm’s Rotorua office from Le Pine & Co, where he was partner.

Kirkham specialises in property law and commercial and business law. He has 26 years’ experience, including spending the last 10 years in Taupo.

His commercial work includes leasing, business start-ups, and commercial contracts. He is also experienced in asset-ownership structures and has acted for several Māori-owned entities. Kirkham is also interested in tax law, litigation, OIA, and immigration.

The appointment comes after Holland Beckett promoted six to associate in September.
