Selina-Jane Trigg is only the second person based outside of North America to hold the position
The International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) has named its first Australasian president-elect in Selina-Jane Trigg, reported the New Zealand Law Society.
Trigg is only the second individual based outside of North America to assume this role in the IACP’s 25-year history. She kicked off her tenure as president-elect after the recent IACP forum in Toronto, and her term as president is set to start in October 2024.
Trigg joined the IACP in 2012 and has been on the board of directors since 2020. She co-chairs the IACP Australasia Taskforce.

She previously chaired the Collaborative Law Association of NZ and is part of the Practice Group Development Committee. She is a member of the Law Society’s family law section and is on the panel of family mediators.
Trigg has 25 years of experience practising in family law, specialising in the resolution of family law issues through collaborative law, mediation and out-of-court processes. She has a particular interest in adoption and surrogacy law matters.
In 2002, she founded family law specialist firm Family Law Results. She has also served as a contract lecturer in dispute resolution at AUT University and as a trainer in collaborative practice for Collaborative Resolution NZ.
