New District Court judges appointed to accident compensation appeal jurisdiction

Two new District Court judges have been appointed to the accident compensation appeal jurisdiction.

According to Attorney-General Hon. Judith Collins, Luke Radich will sit at the Manukau District Court, while Jacqui Clark will be based in Auckland District Court.

Radich was sworn in today. He has prosecuted jury trials in the District and High Courts over a legal career that saw him log stints with Radich Dwyer Hardy-Jones Clark and Kayes Fletcher Walker.

He was also a Trackside Television presenter from 2000 to 2008.

Meanwhile, dispute resolution specialist Clark kicked off her career at Simpson Grierson and also spent time at Bell Gully. She then joined the independent bar before commencing with Wilson McKay in 2012, where she is presently a special counsel. She is also part of the Licensed Building Practitioners Board.

Clark’s swearing-in ceremony will be held on 11 October.
