The NZ LAW Limited board has appointed Darrin Rogers as the organisation’s new general manager.

Rogers succeeds Alan Hay, who retires after 30 years of leading the organisation.

“[NZ LAW] is fortunate to have Darrin taking over as its general manager. Darrin’s experience with Thomson Reuters, and the long-standing and excellent relationship that NZ LAW has had with that organisation, made Darrin a stand-out candidate for this position,” said Dan Moore, NZ LAW chair. “He has deep knowledge of our organisation, the relationships it has with members, sponsors, suppliers and other professionals who work closely with the group.”

Rogers was previously general manager and regional sales manager at Thomson Reuters for 12 years, roles in which he worked closely with member firms on NZ Law Limited’s library portfolio, NZ LAW Limited said in a press release. He has also held senior roles at SSS – IT Security Services and Techtonics Group.

Moore praised outgoing general manager Hay’s tenure at the firm, which began in 1994.

“[Hay] has worked closely with the board in developing many initiatives that not only benefitted the membership, but also assisted law students, clients of member firms, community organisations and much more,” Moore said.

Currently, the NZ LAW Limited network comprises 60 firms with 235 partners/directors.
