NZ Lawyer and Society of Construction Law New Zealand team up for 5 special reports

NZ Lawyer and the Society of Construction Law New Zealand have struck up a partnership for five special reports.

Formed in 2005, the New Zealand Society of Construction Law (SCL) aims to promote research and education in the field of construction law. The group also serves a forum through which industry professionals discuss issues related to construction law.

The SCL is an interest group and not a professional institute, and thus has a range of members from all sectors of the construction industry including lawyers, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, project managers, insurers and academics.

The society provides an opportunity for informal networking, with meetings usually held monthly. The SCL also hosts a biennial conference. Further, members have access to the SCL international website which publishes papers from the worldwide Societies of Construction Law.

The SCL’s partnership with NZ Lawyer covers the following special reports:

•            Most Influential Lawyers – highlights legal professionals who have had the most impact

•            Fast Firms – identifies the fastest growing firms based on revenue, headcount figures and other growth milestones

•            Elite Women – spotlights leaders who have been making their voices heard in the industry

•            5-Star Employer of Choice – recognizes companies that stand out for their employee initiatives in key areas

•            Service Provider Awards - identifies the best service providers in the legal profession
