Pauline Ho will head up the firm's new banking and finance practice
TBB has expanded its director ranks with the addition of Tom McGarry and Pauline Ho, reported the NZ Law Society.
McGarry has been promoted to the leadership role after nearly a decade with the firm, having started with TBB in 2016. Ho commences with the firm to head up TBB’s new banking and finance offering.
McGarry is a property law specialist and has tackled issues involving the acquisition and disposal of commercial properties, complex office and industrial developments, and leasing across all sectors. He has worked with institutional-grade organizations, private developers and family offices.
In multi-disciplinary and M&A transactions, he has led the property support function for the firm.
Ho brings two decades of banking and finance experience from both New Zealand and overseas. She has represented both lenders and borrowers on matters related to development financing, investment financing, corporate and structured lending and debt restructurings at bilateral and syndicated levels.
She has advised financial services entities on consumer lending and AML/CFT regulatory compliance. She has also spearheaded submissions on reforms to consumer credit contracts and AML/CFT legislation.
Ho previously seconded at two major banks in the UK.
