NZ Lawyer is calling for entries to its second annual list of the Most Influential Lawyers

The search is on for New Zealand's Most Influential Lawyers 2022

Nominations opened last week for NZ Lawyer’s second annual Most Influential Lawyers list to recognise the most influential and hard-working professionals who are at the top of their game.

The list will be made up of the top in each of the following categories:

  • Young Influencer: Young lawyers, aged 40 or under, who have had an extraordinary impact on the profession or society
  • Human Rights, Advocacy and Criminal: This includes human rights lawyers, criminal lawyers, and lawyers involved in political or other advocacy work
  • Changemakers: Lawyers in any area or type of practice who have been leaders, innovators, or catalysts for positive change in any area of the profession such as diversity, law firm management, education and others
  • Government/non-profits/associations: This includes public inquiries, officers of Parliament, academic institutions and the judiciary
  • Business: This includes human rights lawyers, criminal lawyers, and lawyers involved in political or other advocacy work

A place on the list is an affirmation of a candidate’s hard work and dedication to rising above the unique challenges that the industry faces.

Nominations can be made until 15 April through this brief online form. Self-nominations are also welcome.

The Most Influential Lawyers report will be published on the NZ Lawyer website in July.
