Technology and space law expert gets elevated

Maria Pozza, often referred to as New Zealand’s first space lawyer, has been promoted to associate at her Taranaki firm.

Pozza joined Govett Quilliam just seven months ago. She previously worked with Lane Neave and Helmore Ayers.

She finished her LLB (Hons) from Birmingham City University in 2004. She completed her master’s degree in international studies in 2010 and a doctorate in law from Otago University in 2013.

She is part of Govett Quilliam’s corporate team and specialises in corporate, technology, cyber, aviation and space law. She is the Royal Astronomical Society in New Zealand’s official legal adviser on space law.

Pozza said that her corporate, technology, cyber, aviation, and space law practice continues to grow.
