Patrick Gamble has managed and overseen the negotiation of a new $54 million mezzanine financing facility; the acquisition of a number of businesses that have built Perpetual Guardian into the largest statutory supervisor and private client services provider in New Zealand; the sale of 50% of Perpetual Guardian to Direct Capital (by way of convertible note); and the supervision of litigation that goes hand in hand with running a trustee business. Five of the acquisitions referenced occurred in a relatively short succession, culminating in the sale of Perpetual Guardian to Direct Capital. At the same time, he remains responsible for all legal aspects associated with the business, including liaison with regulators and media, and significant interaction with clients.
