Blair Williams makes a successful return to the NZ Lawyer In-house Leader list, for his continued outstanding leadership to a team of senior in-house lawyers, governance professionals, and corporate affairs specialists during a period of substantial change for the financial services industry and New Zealand.
Part of IAG’s executive leadership team, Williams is responsible for the legal, corporate reputation, media, external communications, employee communications, government relations, sustainability, and board governance functions at IAG. Under his leadership, IAG has successfully navigated a range of significant external matters and challenges during the last 12 months, including as a result of COVID-19. He has also played a crucial role in finalising the remaining Kaikoura and Canterbury earthquake claims with EQC.
