Rising Stars 2020

Company: AIA New Zealand
Job title: Head of regulatory affairs

Kristina Kilner is considered a future leader and embodiment of AIA's philosophy of ‘Doing the Right Thing, in the Right Way, with the Right People’. Kilner, in her key role as head of regulatory affairs, has respectfully challenged the status quo and led a 12-person strong team to deliver the Leading Regulatory Change (LRC) Programme which was responsible for responding to the FMA/RBNZ’s concerns following the conduct and culture review. Additionally, Kilner is a key representative on the Financial Services Council New Zealand Committees; she has attended industry bodies and events to represent views on how the industry should/could respond to concerns raised; and she has worked with the business teams to learn first-hand how the organisation can place the customer at the centre of everything AIA does.
