Ilona is an experienced non-executive director with extensive experience as a senior executive in healthcare, agriculture and emerging technologies. She currently holds the positon of Head of Legal & Compliance (Australia & New Zealand) for pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim, which develops medications of high therapeutic value for human and veterinary medicine.
Ilona has previously held executive roles with private and public companies including large ASX-listed companies and dynamic high-growth start-ups (ResMed; Ruralco Holdings; Medtronic; 3M) gaining extensive experience in complex commercial transactions, as well as navigating through high value regulatory disputes.
Ilona has been recognised as one of Australasian Lawyer’s Elite Women 2021 for her personal contributions and achievements in both her executive and non-executive roles throughout 2020/21.
In addition to her executive role, Ilona is currently Non-Executive Director/Governance Committee Chair of Disability Sports Australia, Non-Executive Director/Chair of Karting (New South Wales) Inc and Non-Executive Director/Chair of Hoxton Industries Limited.
Ilona has been selected to participate in the WOBSX - Kerry Schott Syndicate in 2021, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), has completed both a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Masters in Laws (LLM) and is admitted as Solicitor and Barrister to the NSW Supreme Court and High Court of Australia.
