Nearly three-fifths of all appointees are women
MinterEllison has elevated 50 lawyers to senior positions as part of its 2017 senior promotions round.
The batch includes 12 new partners, 6 new special counsel, and 32 senior associates. Nearly three in five of all the appointees are women, as the firm’s promotions reflects its focus on greater gender diversity.
“I am extremely proud of this team. I know they’ll make an important contribution to our business and play an important role in shaping the future of our firm,” said Tony Harrington, MinterEllison chief executive.
The bulk of the new partners are from the firm’s mergers and acquisitions group. The projects, infrastructure and construction, and the insurance and corporate risk groups get two new partners each, while the tax and the human resources and industrial relations teams each get a new partner.
