New appointments at Bartier Perry

Bartier Perry has brought in its first chief transformation officer in Roger Habib.

Habib is a seasoned financial services senior executive who has gleaned experience from major banks and a stint with the NSW Treasury. He has tackled strategic programs, large-scale change initiatives and critical business projects.

According to Bartier Perry CEO Riana Steyn, his appointment “underscores our commitment to investing in new technologies and processes that enhance client service”.

The firm further strengthened its leadership with Alison Cui, Kate Ralph, Raffael Maestri and Mario Rashid-Ring becoming the firm’s newest partners. Cui is a lateral hire from HNT Legal, while the other three were promoted.

Cui joins Bartier Perry’s corporate and commercial team, having handled cross-industry transactions in the property development, manufacturing, transport and logistics, childcare, and professional services sectors.

Ralph is part of the insurance team, handling issues related to workers compensation. Her clients have included government agencies, employers and insurers.

Maestri works with the private clients group and is an accredited wills and estates specialist. He has worked on contentious and non-contentious matters involving wills, estates and succession law.

Rashid-Ring practises with the dispute resolution and advisory team. He has considerable experience in building and construction disputes and commercial litigation.

“This is very much client-led growth in that each of those teams are seeing increasing demand for their services. We expect that trend to continue as we build and diversify our service offerings”, Steyn said.
