HFW is continuing its expansion in Australia with four more lawyers in Melbourne.
The London-headquartered firm has hired partner Alex McKellar and associate Jarrod Gutsa from
Macpherson Kelley in Melbourne. It has also relocated senior associate Kim Moore and associate Chris Cho to their office in the city from Hong Kong.
McKellar, who is also a qualified civil engineer, is a construction law expert. He has particular focus on front-end risk profiling and dispute resolution for construction projects.
Gutsa specialises in construction dispute resolution, advising clients in pre-dispute project advice, informal conciliation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation.
Moore and Cho, who the firm relocated to provide additional support to its construction team in Australia, both specialise in construction dispute resolution.
The appointments come as HFW,
which recently rebranded, adds more and more lawyers in the country. In May, the firm
relocated its office in Perth and completed its office transfer plan in Australia.
In August, HFW
hired a property and project team of four from Lander & Rogers. It again
hired a partner and an associate from Landers in October. Earlier this month, HFW
launched an association in Indonesia.
