Hunt & Hunt Lawyers has promoted compulsory acquisition lawyer Anna Shaw to principal.

She has been with the firm since 2015, having commenced as a graduate lawyer. At present, she works with the property disputes and compulsory acquisitions team in Melbourne.

Managing principal Tony Raunic credited Shaw with being “instrumental in developing our compulsory acquisitions practice”.

“Anna has been with Hunt & Hunt Lawyers for the better part of a decade and we are proud of her growth”, Raunic said. “As a principal, Anna will continue to provide high-quality legal services to her clients, as well as mentor and inspire the next generation of lawyers in our firm. We are delighted to welcome her to the partnership and look forward to her ongoing success”.

Shaw shared her excitement at becoming part of Hunt & Hunt’s leadership.

“When I joined the firm nine years ago, the compulsory acquisitions practice was growing. I am so proud of the prominent practice we are now, the dedicated team members we have fostered, and the large number of Victorians affected by acquisitions that we have been able to assist over this time”, she said. “Navigating this unusual area of law demands (beyond the obvious) creativity and compassion for each client's unique circumstances; all these years in and still no two days are alike. It is with much enthusiasm and excitement that I now join the leadership team at the firm that has both supported and inspired me over the course of my legal career”.
