New partner to focus on dispute resolution matters around major resources, projects, and construction engagements
Jones Day has added global disputes specialist Katie Mead to its partnership in Perth, effective January 01.
In this role, she will focus on dispute resolution matters involving major resources, projects, and construction engagements. She joins recent hires Michael Lundberg and four other lawyers in the Perth office.
Mead was among the first lawyers to join the Perth office when it opened in 2014. She is also part of numerous associations, including the Committee of Women in Oil and Gas in Western Australia, the Society of Construction Law Australia, and the Health and Wellbeing Committee for the National Association of Women in Construction.
Most recently, she was named the 2021 Australian Young Construction Lawyer of the Year by the Law Council of Australia.
“Katie’s admission to partnership demonstrates the continued growth and success of Jones Day in Perth,” said Adam Salter, partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s Perth office. “She will continue to be an integral part of serving the needs of Jones Day’s leading global and Australian companies in major domestic and international arbitration and litigation in Perth and elsewhere in Australia.”
