Law Squared has launched a new office in Perth to be helmed by longtime disputes and litigation lawyer Natalie Markovski.

She will be joined by accredited litigation specialist Dicky Abraham, who recently became part of the firm’s disputes and litigation team. Accredited in Victoria, Abraham brings experience with commercial disputes involving insurance, contractual, insolvency, shareholder oppression claims and derivative actions.

“With the growing need of energy and infrastructure assets and projects in WA, together with the spread of disputes and litigation support we’re providing to insurers, and financiers across Australia, having a dedicated WA presence ensures we can seamlessly guide clients through their varying legal and commercial challenges”, founder and director Demetrio Zema said.

He added that the new base would bolster Law Squared’s ability to cater to its in-house legal clients.

“Perth is home to many exceptional in-house lawyers, yet working in-house can feel isolating. At Law Squared, we understand the value of connection. We’re excited to help build a strong local network where in-house lawyers can collaborate, share insights, and tap into the expertise of our national team of in-house specialists”, Zema said.

New hire and 2025 graduates

Law Squared also welcomed corporate lawyer and 2023 Australasian Lawyer Rising Star Tun Yeo to the corporate M&A team in Sydney. Yeo has more than 10 years of experience handling M&A, funds management matters, shareholder matters and general corporate advisory. Previously, he was corporate legal counsel at Source.

Additionally, the firm brought in Maggie Robinson and Adrian Veerasingham via its graduate program.

“Watching our 2024 graduate cohort complete their rotations, celebrate admissions and accept permanent roles within Law Squared has been incredibly rewarding. Our graduates are shaping the future of Law Squared and we’re excited to see this next group thrive,” Zema said.
