Should the deal push through, it will be the second law firm to be listed in London
London-based legal and professional services firm Gordon Dadds looks set for a public listing in the City.
Gordon Dadds said in a statement to investors that negotiations for a reverse takeover of marketing company Work Group, which is listed on a sub-market of the London Stock Exchange, are at a “very advanced” stage.
However, the firm cautioned that “there can be no certainty that any offer will be made nor as to the final terms of any offer,” according to Legal Cheek.
If the deal pushes through, Gordon Dadds will be the second law firm to be listed in London after Gateley, which debuted on the Alternative Investment Market in 2015.
Work Group aims to raise £20m. The deal values Gordon Dadds at £18.75m.
With offices in London and Cardiff, Gordon Dadds offers personal, commercial, and consulting services. In recent years, it acquired law firms Prolegal, Jeffrey Green Russell and Davenport Lyons.
