An experienced in-house lawyer moves back to private practice
Maddocks has expanded its development team with the appointment of a new special counsel.
Maryam Minai has joined the firm, moving back to private practice from developer Caydon Property Group. She also previously worked in-house at Australia post and was a lawyer at King & Wood Mallesons and Norton Rose Fulbright.
Minai brings 12 years of experience to the national firm. She specialises in real estate, construction, and infrastructure matters.
“In the past two years, the Maddocks Development team has grown from two partners to five and has led the industry with a range of innovative client solutions, such as Maddocks eContracts,” said partner Nick Holuigue, who leads the development practice.
With the appointment, Maddocks is sending another signal to the property development market that it has the depth and breadth of experience to work on the full range of development projects in Australia, Holuigue said.
The firm has also recently boosted its government practice with the appointment of special counsel Katerina Calvert and partner Pria O’Sullivan.
