Mills Oakley aids in $66mn Melbourne land acquisition
Mills Oakley has aided an education company acquire a major part of a Melbourne precinct.

The national firm advised Little Lane Early Learning on its $66m acquisition of nearly 9,500 square metres in Melbourne’s Fishermans Bend precinct. The company bought the land from the China-backed Botree Group, which was advised by Cornwall Stodart.

Botree previously planned to develop four residential towers with 1,004 units, but Little Lane now plans to develop the site into an early learning centre. The site will become part of the company’s Avenues Early Learning centres portfolio.

The Mills Oakley team was led by senior associate Jarrod Marchesi. The Cornwall Stodart team was led by Stephen Curtain.

Marchesi said that the proposed early learning centre would considerably enhance the precinct’s amenities and be in line with the urban renewal strategy of the Victorian government for Fishermans Bend.
