Minter Ellison has attracted two leading IP and patent and trademark litigators in Melbourne, who both move across from their former domicile at King & Wood Mallesons.
The lawyers – Wayne McMaster and Robert Cooper – have built a respected litigation practice in Melbourne focused on the pharmaceutical sector.

The firm stated that McMaster and Cooper’s combined portfolio of work was transferred in a seamless transition for clients with the agreement of King & Wood Mallesons.
"Their arrival brings a new dimension to our commercial disputes and intellectual property practices,” Weber said.
“This will help to drive growth in those areas by opening up new client and market opportunities.”
McMaster and Cooper carried a team of 13 with them, including a special counsel, three senior associates, four lawyers, and a number of paralegals and support personnel.
