A Perth-based lawyer is among the 20 incoming partners at Allen & Overy.

David Jenaway will join the Magic Circle firm’s global partnership on 1 May. The promotions have been made across 11 offices and five practice groups, including seven new partners in the Asia-Pacific region. The group is one of the most geographically widely spread in years, with 80% of the new promotions made outside London, A&O said.

Jenaway, who moved to the firm in 2014 from Herbert Smith Freehills, is a specialist in complex and high-value disputes, with a focus on the energy and resources sector.

He acts on disputes related to construction projects, joint ventures, business sales, and resource pricing throughout the Asia-Pacific region. He is also has a key role in the pro bono and community programs of the firm in Perth.
