Rasaratnam, 33, started with the firm as an intern in its first year of operations. He has served as a mentor to other solicitors and paralegals.

Like his fellow new partner, Wang, 29, commenced with Quantum Law Group as an intern while pursuing legal studies. He was responsible for developing the firm’s criminal and family law practices while a paralegal.

In addition to the new partners, the firm promoted Haoyu Zhang to head paralegal, and Calista Kumala and Xinyi Xu to senior paralegals. All the promotions took effect on 1 August.

“Our leadership team is likely very different to a traditional law firm, in that no one is older than 33 and we all grew and met the challenging demands of running a law firm together as the firm matured, we also matured. One huge driver of our success is that while we have our differences, we always prioritised each other and we always have had each other’s back”, Yu said.

Yu launched Quantum Law Group on 1 August 2019.
