The retired BigLaw partner, a prominent lawyer in Delaware, was slapped with a lawsuit for a crash that happened in 2014.
Retired Biglaw partner Thomas J. Allingham II has been sued by a cyclist for injuries and bodily harm for a crash that happened in 2014.
According to Delaware’s The News Journal, cyclist Jennifer Vinton is accusing the former partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates and prominent Delaware litigation lawyer of striking her with his vehicle on August 14, 2014.
The lawsuit which was filed in the Delaware Superior Court on August 5 claims that the crash caused injuries to the woman’s left wrist/hand, pelvis, ribs, neck, shoulder, left knee, hip, ankle and arm, The News Journal said.
The suit also claims the woman suffered traumatic brain injury to the head. The crash also caused permanent scarring and loss of wages.
According to Bloomberg Law, Allingham represented McAndrew & Forbes in 2013 in the major Delaware case that involved M&F Worldwide.
Past clients of Allingham include Statek Corp in the Coudert Brothers’ bankruptcy, Aeroflex Holding Corp and the Darby Emerging Market Fund, Bloomberg Law said. Allingham has also represented Japanese retail giant Aeon Co., Ltd. and Anheuser-Busch, Inc.
