Allens has recruited two experts in medical devices, quantum computing, and renewable energy to strengthen the firm’s patents practice.
Tracey Webb has been appointed principal patent attorney, while Dr Pasquale Aliberti has been named senior associate. Webb came from FB Rice & Co and Aliberti joined from Griffith Hack.
The hires particularly strengthen the firm’s engineering and ICT practice, said Miriam Stiel, who leads the top firm’s intellectual property group.
Webb has more than 20 years’ experience in patenting medical devices, software, and computer inventions. She has a particular focus on the mining and high-tech industries, and a strong background in obtaining, enforcing, and advising clients on registered design patents.
Aliberti is an experienced patent attorney with an academic background in electronics, nanotechnology, microelectronics, electrical engineering, and photovoltaic and renewable energy. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, a master’s degrees in microelectronics and intellectual property, and a PhD in photovoltaics.
