Sydney-based boutique firm Baybridge Lawyers has brought in Genevieve Hehir as a commercial partner for its automotive practice group.

With her addition, female partners now comprise 85% of the firm’s leadership.

“We are thrilled to welcome Genevieve to Baybridge. Her impressive background and expertise add to our firm’s strong ties with building and scaling brands across the globe”, Baybridge CEO and managing partner Marwan Kojok said.

Hehir has acted for clients on the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries’ legal committee. She has represented automotive importers, distributors, and dealers across the passenger, luxury, commercial, electric, hybrid, heavy trucks and freight vehicles segments from China, Europe, UK and the US.

She has helped to launch automotive franchises in Australia and guided international brands on market entry, franchising and compliance. Before making the jump to Baybridge Lawyers, she was with Long Saad Woodbridge, which merged with Sydney Business Lawyers last year.

Hehir said that there are “exciting times ahead in the automotive industry”.

Baybridge concentrates on franchise and commercial law.
