Tabcorp has appointed a new group general counsel.

Patrick McGlinchey commences in his role with the wagering and gaming giant on 4 March. He will join the company from LafargeHolcim Group, where he is currently regional general counsel for the Asia-Pacific region.

At LafargeHolcim, where he is overseeing all legal and compliance matters in the region, McGlinchey has been heavily involved in the merger integration program.

He brings to Tabcorp 25 years of M&A, governance, compliance and general commercial experience, managing director and CEO David Attenborough said.

McGlinchey, who also has significant global leadership expertise, has a background in the gambling entertainment industry after having served as chief legal office and company secretary at Aristocrat leisure between 2009 and 2011.
