Ruth Bader Ginsburg is not afraid to speak her mind about Donald Trump.
In fact, the US Supreme Court Associate Justice revealed that she may move to New Zealand if The Donald is ever elected president.
“I can’t imagine what this place would be – I can’t imagine what the country would be – with Donald Trump as our president,”
she told The New York Times.
“For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be – I don’t even want to contemplate that.”
The remarks are a departure from the usual as Supreme Court justices usually steer clear from comments on politics.
“‘Now it’s time for us to move to New Zealand,’” the justice said, smiling ruefully, according to the publication.
This was something that her husband, the world-renowned tax expert Martin D. Ginsburg, would have said, she noted.
The opinionated Associate Justice also talked about the US Senate’s inaction on President Barrack Obama’s nomination of Judge Merrick B. Garland to the Supreme Court and the court’s latest term in the interview in her chambers.
