TressCox Lawyers has expanded its national employment, IR, and workplace relations team with the appointment of a new partner in Melbourne.
Chris Molnar has joined the firm from McKean Park, where he was partner for nearly nine years. He is also currently a member of the commercial law and regulatory studies advisory board of
Monash University’s Faculty of Law.
In his more than 25 years in the profession, Molnar has acted for major clients in both the private and public sectors. His private-sector clients include large ASX-listed companies and SMEs, while his public-sector clients include state governments, federal governments, territory governments, local councils, and public-owned entities.
He has extensive knowledge in both litigious and non-litigious matters related to employment law, discrimination law, sexual harassment, bullying, industrial relations, work, health and safety, and protection of confidential information, the firm said.
Molnar is also a Law Institute of Victoria-accredited workplace relations specialist. He regularly acts for clients in matters before all Victorian courts and VCAT, the Federal Court, and the Federal Circuit Court.
He has worked in the Australian Chamber of Manufacturers,
Corrs Chambers Westgarth, PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal, and Harmers Workplace Lawyers. Molnar finished bachelor’s and master’s degrees in law, and a master of business administration degree.
Scott Chapman, TressCox executive chairman, said the firm is thrilled to bolster its employment expertise in Melbourne. The firm believes Molnar and his clients will be an excellent addition to the TressCox team, he added.
The firm recently
promoted two new special counsel, six new senior associates, and three associates. It also recently
entered into a professional relationship with New Zealand’s Fernhill Solutions. In March, it expanded its presence in Canberra by entering into a professional relationship
with Boettcher Law.
