Victorian Bar elects Justin Hannebery KC as president

The Victorian Bar has elected Vice President Justin Hannebery KC as its new president.

Hannebery’s elevation was confirmed at a special purpose meeting held last night. He takes over for Elizabeth Bennett, who was appointed to the Federal Court earlier this month.

“I’m very grateful and honoured to have been elected to the role and to have the opportunity to serve the Victorian Bar in this way. I am confident that with the support of excellent staff at the Bar, the other members of the Executive and the broader Bar Council that I have great resources to draw on”, Hannebery said.
