Eight new senior lawyers join Keypoint Law over the past year

Keypoint Law has welcomed eight senior lawyers over the last year, specifically in the areas of dispute resolution and litigation, insolvency and restructuring, banking and finance, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, franchising, property law, wills and estates, trademarks, and intellectual property.

Bringing an average of 24 years of experience to the Australian firm, these recent appointments held previous positions such as partners, directors, and special counsel, said a news release of Keypoint Law. The firm has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, and Adelaide.

Celia Armstrong joined the firm’s corporate and commercial contracts practice in Melbourne. She has dealt with M&A, contracts, and commercial disputes. She also has experience in areas including IP protection, employee and stakeholder relations, trading terms, asset protection, privacy laws, competition, consumer regulations, and dispute resolution.

Liza Friedwald is practising in the areas of dispute resolution and litigation and family law in Brisbane. She is a family lawyer with more than two decades of experience and has been a barrister practising in most legal areas beginning in 2010. She has conducted her own trials and has appeared in family law applications and hearings.

Sara Hatcher has become a part of the firm’s property and real estate commercial contracts practice in Sydney. With over 20 years of experience, she has advised on all aspects of developments, subdivisions, aged care and retirement leases, the national rental affordability scheme, easements, by-laws, and additional transactions regarding property.

Peter Mills is working in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring, dispute resolution and litigation, and banking and finance in Brisbane. As a senior commercial litigator, he has tackled matters concerning corporate insolvency, creditor recoveries, personal property securities, finance, and strata title communities laws and schemes.

Kay Papadopoulos joined the firm’s wills, probate, estate litigation, and superannuation team in Sydney. She has advised clients in connection with succession, wills and estates law, estate planning and administration, probate matters, letters of administration, trusts and estates disputes, family provision claims, and contested probate matters.

Michael Ryan belongs to the firm’s commercial contracts, corporate, and M&A practice in Sydney. He has more than three decades of experience in corporate advisory matters, cross-border transactions, and equity capital markets. His clients have included publicly-listed companies, Australian businesses of all sizes, and the Australian branches of multinational companies.

The firm’s Perth office welcomed Tamra Seaton, who handles matters relating to contract law, competition and consumer law, IP, and commercial property law. She is a senior business and commercial lawyer who has achieved recognition in the areas of competition and franchise law for more than a decade.

Alex Wynn is practising dispute resolution and litigation and family law in Brisbane. With his experience of more than two decades as a lawyer, he has advised and represented clients in connection with all family law aspects, including multi-million-dollar property disputes and parenting cases involving special needs children.
