The organisation will conduct events, webinars and programmes in commemoration
The Resolution Institute is celebrating 50 years in the industry this year.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone. For 50 years, Resolution Institute and previously IAMA and LEADR, has worked to build a community of dispute resolution professionals who are committed to high standards of practice and to providing accessible, effective solutions for parties in conflict. Our success over these years is a testament to the ongoing dedication of our members and the confidence of those who engage with us,” CEO Amber Williams said.
To commemorate the landmark anniversary, the organization will hold a series of events, webinars and special programmes. The programmes will spotlight the ongoing contributions of dispute resolution professionals throughout Australia and New Zealand, the Resolution Institute said.
“This anniversary is not just about looking back; it’s about setting our sights on the future. Resolution Institute remains committed to advancing dispute resolution, advocating for best practices, and providing an ever-expanding network of support and learning opportunities for all professionals in our field,” Resolution Institute chair Nick Hopkins KC said.
The organisation was established in 1975 as the Institute of Arbitrators Australia. Following the merger of IAA to IAMA, and LEADR, it took on the Resolution Institute moniker.
Williams described the Resolution Institute as “a trailblazer, but also providing a professional community for all DR practitioners and being the only organisation in Australia that serves the full spectrum of dispute resolution, from facilitative to determinative approaches. This unique position sets us apart from all others”.
