Hirsch, who has worked almost exclusively within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical research and healthcare sector over the past decade, joined ONJCRI to establish a new legal function at the institute. Her role has been to ensure the translation of the ONJCRI’s intellectual output for the benefit of the broader community, and to solely manage its legal matters as well as improve legal understanding within the organisation and embed risk management. In the past 12 months, Hirsch was selected to join the first cohort of women in the Women In Leadership Development program, which is aimed at mentoring female leaders in STEM fields. She’s completed the AICD (Company Directors) course, and was recently nominated as a finalist in the Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals and Biotech Lawyer of the Year and Not-for-Profit Lawyer of the Year categories of the Lawyers Weekly Corporate Counsel Awards.
