Vivienne Crawshaw KC has tackled complex relationship property matters and estate litigation
King’s Counsel Vivienne Crawshaw KC has commenced with Shortland Chambers.
The family law specialist has appeared before the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court in relation to family law matters. In 2018, she was appointed King’s Counsel, reported the NZ Law Society.
She has worked on complex relationship property cases. She has also handled issues involving trust law, estate litigation, and children’s cases involving international and national relocations.
The Law Society also reported that Abigail van Echten and Susan Lamb have joined Kate Sheppard Chambers.
van Echten is a litigator who has tackled matters involving coronial, disciplinary, criminal, regulatory, and public law. She has served as a prosecutor arguing appeals, and has acted as lead or sole counsel prosecuting jury and judge-alone trials related to gun violence, sexual violence, drugs and fraud.
At present, she is Counsel Assisting the Court with regard to the Masjidain (Mosque) Inquiry.
As an international lawyer, Lamb focuses on international humanitarian and criminal law. She has more than two decades of experience consulting on international accountability, law of armed conflict, conflict-related sexual violence, counter-terrorism and anti-corruption.
She has worked with UN agencies, inter-governmental organisations, governments, and civil society organisations across the globe. She also served a year-long term as justice of the criminal division of the Belize Supreme (High) Court.
