Jenna Silcock and Keri Johansson have made partner at Buddle Findlay.

With their promotions, women now comprise 39% of the firm’s partners.

Silcock is based in Christchurch and has been with the firm since 2011. She practises with the environment and resource management team, working on matters involving RMA consenting, designations, district and regional planning, appeals and enforcement. Her clients have included government bodies and corporations.

She has also advised on judicial review risks and represented local authorities in relation to judicial reviews. She has appeared before council hearing panels, independent hearings panels, the Environment Court, the District Court, the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Johansson operates from Auckland and specialises in technology, media and privacy. She works with the corporate and commercial team and commenced with Buddle Findlay in 2009.

She has tackled matters involving significant and complex IT procurement, commercialisation, licensing and regulation of technology, data and content, collection and processing of personal information, and preparation for and response to data incidents. She has advised screen producers, broadcasters, advertisers and new media operators.

Both Silcock and Johansson started as solicitors with the firm.
