Chapman Tripp has announced 10 senior promotions across the firm’s Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch offices.
Chief executive partner
Andrew Poole said while the number of promotions is in line with last year, the breadth of talent reinforces the firm’s strength as a full service firm.

Grace Rippingale and
Jared Holt have both been appointed senior associate in the Wellington Litigation & Dispute Resolution team. Holt, specialising in commercial litigation, has a particular interest in insurance and construction. Rippingale specialises in civil litigation and advises clients on a broad range of disputes.
Daniel Street has also been appointed as a Litigation & Dispute Resolution senior associate but in the firm’s Auckland office. He specialises in commercial dispute resolution, regulatory investigations and insurance.
Kirsten Todd and
Asha Trotter have both been appointed senior associate in the firm’s Corporate team, Todd in Christchurch and Trotter in Wellington. Todd specialises in commercial law with a focus on banking and finance and Trotter in financial services regulation and corporate law.
In the Auckland Finance team, banking and finance law specialist
Luke Ford has been appointed senior associate. Ford has a particular focus on capital markets and advises clients on a range of transactions including Kauri issues.
Phoebe Gibbons has been appointed senior associate in the Auckland Financial Services team. She advises clients on all aspects of financial services compliance and regulatory matters as well as mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructures.
Property specialist
Peter Sygrove has been appointed senior associate in the Auckland Property team. He has a particular focus on commercial office and retail development leasing, as well as due diligence investigations and large commercial property developments.
The firm has appointed two senior legal advisors;
Tracy Tomsett in the Wellington corporate team and
Sanna Boow in the Auckland Financial Services team. Tomsett specialises in corporate and commercial law and has previously worked on cross boarder mergers and acquisitions in Hong Kong. Boow specialises in funds management, financial services regulation and securities law compliance of investment products.
