Lane Neave has welcomed new additions to its roster of senior lawyers, including a new special counsel and two new senior associates.

As part of the mid-year promotions cycle that took effect on 1 July, Jackie Frampton was elevated to special counsel on the Christchurch litigation team. She is an expert in commercial and construction litigation.

She has represented clients before the High Court and Weathertight Homes Tribunal in claims related to weathertightness, passive fire and structural defects. She has also been involved in litigation and project disputes centred around large-scale public projects.

Kieran Miller and Andrew Neill are the firm’s new senior associates. Both work with the commercial property team; Miller operates from Queenstown while Neill works from Christchurch.

Miller has tackled matters related to commercial and residential conveyancing, residential subdivisions, the sale and purchase of businesses, complex financing, leasing matters and local government work. Neill has worked on commercial, property and estate planning issues.

Lane Neave also promoted the following to senior solicitors:

  • Helena Scholes – employment (Wellington)
  • Justine Zhang – commercial property (Auckland)
  • Peter Ko – corporate (Auckland)
  • Sarah Kirkwood – immigration (Christchurch)

“It’s a real privilege to see our people grow as professionals and people, watching and supporting them as they build their careers and reputations”, Lane Neave managing partner Andrew Shaw said. “This is an exceptional group of lawyers and I hope they feel proud as they take this step in their careers”.
