Lighter Side: Ex-Spiderman performer launches streetside appeal for law career

A law graduate from Exeter has taken to the streets of London in an effort to kick-start his legal career. Spotted at the busy commuter hub of Liverpool Street station, Aimran Alif was seen handing out copies of his resume to passers-by on Monday.

After completing an LLB at Exeter University in 2013, Alif then finished a legal practice course (LPC) and an LLM in Islamic Finance at BPP Law School.

He drew most of his confidence to undertake this public job hunting appeal from his past experience in which he “gained a following in Cornwall as a street performer in a Spiderman costume,” he wrote on his LinkedIn profile.

Alif can be seen holding a whiteboard listing his credentials in the Instagram photo below:

He is actually not the first law student to take to the streets to look for work. In 2014, a graduate from De Montfort LLB was seen at Cannon Street station holding a placard that said “Looking for a career”. A few months prior to that, Bilal Rauf who graduated from UWE tried a similar approach at Chancery Lane station.
