Two made partner, while five were promoted to senior associates
Seven lawyers have been elevated to new roles in MinterEllisonRuddWatts’ first promotions round for 2025.
Tayla Johnston and Kate Cruickshank made partner; meanwhile, joining the senior associates roster were Nicole Burt, Max McMahon, Rob McStay, Ken Ng and Olivia Pahulu.
Johnston works with the corporate M&A team in Auckland. She focuses on private M&A matters, having tackled shareholder and subscription agreements, joint venture agreements, constitutions, corporate governance, and commercial contracts.
Cruickshank practises with the corporate and commercial team in Wellington. In particular, she assists clients from the technology, film, and energy sectors; she represented the New Zealand Film Commission on the funding of local films.
Burt and McMahon both operate from Wellington; Burt works with the litigation team while McMahon is part of the corporate and commercial team. McStay, Ng and Pahulu work from Auckland; McStay is with the employment team, Ng with the financial services practice, and Pahulu with the environment team.
