Sharon Zhu has been promoted to principal at AJ Park.
Zhu has been part of the firm since 2016. She practises with the patent (engineering and IT) team, maximising her degrees in engineering and law and her Masters in intellectual property.
“I’m excited to join the leadership team, help shape the future of our team, and continue working closely with incredible clients and being part of their journey to protect and commercialise their innovative ideas”, she said.
Zhu has gleaned engineering and IP law knowledge through her work in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, US, China, Canada, Japan and Singapore. She has overseen complex projects and served as a mentor to junior lawyers at AJ Park.
"Our success isn't just about protecting ideas—it’s about enabling our ambitious clients to harness IP and empowering them to revolutionise industries, create global change, and shape the future", managing partner Dr Andrea Dickens said. "Her promotion is well-deserved, and I’m delighted to recognise Sharon for her ongoing contributions and for demonstrating the firm’s vision".
