Melanie Naulls – who worked with Juno Legal from 2019–21 – has returned to its Pōneke Wellington team. She is now supporting KiwiRail as a Juno lawyer.
Wendy Chen, Juno’s head of client experience and a fellow Juno lawyer, welcomed Naulls back to the team in a news release.
“Her wide-ranging experience in both private and public sectors, combined with her practical, agile approach, enhances our ability to support clients with their complex legal needs,” Chen said in the news release.
Naulls has more than 25 years of legal experience across New Zealand, Australia, and the U.K., according to the news release. Her work has spanned general commercial advisory matters, commercial contracts, procurement, and information and risk management. She has held roles in utilities, construction, and health, among other highly regulated industries.
“Melanie's return to Juno after her recent senior roles reflects our commitment to a positive workplace that supports and values top talent,” Chen said in Juno’s news release.
Naulls started her career at Buddle Findlay, the news release said. She then worked at Elexon Limited in the U.K., at United Group Limited in Australia, and at Leighton Holdings Limited in Australia where she was general counsel.
She also worked for the Southern District Health Board and the Hutt Valley District Health Board, as per Juno’s news release. She has served as senior legal counsel at WSP New Zealand Limited and as privacy consultant at Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People.
Naulls graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington.
