Amarzaya Gantumur, Patrick McPherson take on senior roles at Lane Neave

Amarzaya Gantumur and Patrick McPherson have joined Lane Neave as special counsel.

With over three decades of litigation experience between them, the new additions bolster the firm’s dispute resolution team.

Gantumur brings over 14 years of experience working across Mongolia, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. The litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution specialist has served as counsel in complex corporate and commercial transactions as well as in cross-border litigation and international commercial arbitration.

She is an expert in global mining matters and is presently acting for an Australian/Philippines entity. She is a Chartered Institute of Arbitrators member and is currently based in Christchurch.

McPherson has tackled commercial, civil and construction disputes as a senior litigator. He has over 20 years of experience and has worked in the Middle East.

He served as in-house counsel for a major construction company in the Middle East and has appeared before arbitration forums and domestic courts.

“Adding two such widely experienced people to the firm underlines both the volume and complexity of work we handle and the attractiveness of Lane Neave as a firm for senior personnel to further build their careers”, Lane Neave Managing Partner Andrew Shaw said. “We are delighted to now have four special counsel supporting our three partners in the national dispute resolution team”.
