Allens has introduced the Future Fluent Passport program, aimed at improving the digital literacy of the firm’s lawyers and business teams.
The Future Fluent Passport program is being implemented across the firm. The learning materials in the program also cover topics like data analytics, AI, cybersecurity, automation, and digital ethics.
“Technology continues to transform how we deliver legal services to our clients. This program is designed to keep our people capable and confident in using emerging technologies to enhance our service to clients and to keep innovating in everything we do,” managing partner Richard Spurio said.
The program is founded on “years of investment” and is in line with the firm’s focus on innovation, Allens said. Chief Innovation and Legal Solutions Officer Lisa Kozaris explained that the program enables the firm’s staff to maximise the potential of new technologies.
“This program is an important step in our journey and will ensure that we are making the most of the opportunities that new technologies present for our clients and our firm. While new technologies offer incredible potential and benefits, we’ve learned that it is the combination of technology, digital capabilities, human judgement, experience, and interpersonal skills that allow our people to deliver on that potential”, she said.
This initiative comes a few months after Allens debuted an Australian law benchmark for generative AI.
