One names new directors, while another picks senior associates
Bennett & Philp Lawyers and Madgwicks have each made their senior promotions appointments.
Brisbane firm Bennett & Philp has elevated Charlie Young and Nadia Sabiani to director. Shireen Hazlett has been promoted to associate. Charlene Rayner has been appointed as a lawyer.
Young, who has been with the firm for more than a decade, heads the firm’s estate litigation and elder abuse practices. The senior lawyer – who has extensive experience in disputes related to commercial, property, estates and trusts, and superannuation disputes –is a part of the litigation and dispute resolution team.
Sabiani is now a director of the firm’s business and commercial team. She specialises in finance, commerce, and corporate law. She acts for a wide variety of clients on a wide range of business, commercial and corporate issues.
Hazlett specialises in personal injury law traverse public liability claims, workplace accidents, motor vehicle accidents and medical negligence matters. Rayner works on estate planning.

Meanwhile, Madgwicks in Melbourne has elevated Jaclyn Tang and Michelle Veitch to senior associate, as well as appointed Cynthia Mechaalani and Elle Jones as associates.
Both Tang and Michelle are part of the firm’s property group. Tang is experienced in complex property transactions, while Veitch is a specialist in the areas of corporate finance and property.
Peter Kennedy, Madgwicks managing partner, said the promotions are a testament to the lawyers’ hard work and dedication.
